Visit to Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia, August 2000

The Powhatan Indians lived in the area now occupied by the Colonial
Williamsburg museum.

They constructed their canoes by setting a small fire in a large log,
and using it to hollow
the wood out.

On the stern of a replica of the ship to cross the Atlantic with the
first settlers.

Ready for battle!
