Visit to Aruba - Summer 2004

Chee Chong (left) invited the whole clan out to dinner at the Amazonia restaurant,
which serves Brazilian style "Churrascaria" barbeque.

We all had a good time and were treated like VIPs by the restaurant staff.  This photo courtesy of Rona Coster.

Another photo by Rona.

Rona sent the pictures she shot to the Diario newspaper, who put
it on the front page (headline is of an unrelated story).
Another paper, Bon Dia Aruba, put them on a full page.

At the pool side of the Renaissance Hotel (used to be Sonesta Hotel).  From the pool deck,
you can see the harbor.

We spent a few times swimming in the pool of Auntie Lim in Oranjestad.
The kids enjoyed jumping off the diving board and down the slide (background).

All 7 cousins on their last night together of this vacation.  The next day, we headed back home.

On the way back on July 30, we stopped in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where the Governor of
Maryland, Bob Ehrlich, was returning from a vacation (!).  We snapped this picture with him.

Jordan (right) came back with us to attend the 2004 NASA Goddard Community Day,
which took place the day after we returned to the USA.
